What is coding?

You might have caught wind of the buzz around coding and its significance for our children, yet remain unsure about what it entails! Coding, also known as computer programming, is the craft of crafting computer programs. From the web browser you're currently using to surf the internet, to the operating system powering your gadgets, and even the games entertaining you on your smartphone, all are the handiwork of individuals skilled in coding. Children often find the prospect of crafting or recreating games exhilarating, and our coding classes harness this innate enthusiasm, nurturing it into proficiency across various types of computer programs.

Why do you need to learn to code?

Coding holds not only future promise for your child but also immediate educational benefits:

Computational thinking and logical reasoning: Learning to code prompts children to think logically and sequentially. This skill, known as computational thinking, enables them to structure and express their ideas in a methodical manner.
Problem solving skills: In coding, children acquire the skill of meticulously examining their programs to identify errors and effectively resolve them. This problem-solving approach extends beyond coding, becoming applicable in various other aspects of their education.
Creativity: Coding nurtures creativity by encouraging children to devise innovative solutions to problems and implement unique functionalities in their programs.
Cross-curricular benefits: Coding transcends traditional subject boundaries, offering advantages for both mathematical and language development. The logical thinking inherent in coding correlates with mathematical skills, while understanding the constructs of coding languages enhances linguistic proficiency.

Story telling and re-telling: Storytelling and retelling are vital for cognitive development, fostering language acquisition, comprehension, creativity, empathy, and critical thinking, while also strengthening memory and interpersonal connections through shared narratives.
